hey petey pete. sorry its been a while. been busy... Helen has booked her flights, and she'll be here with us for the weekend. on sunday we're gonna take you to kangaroo point, where marty used to rock climb. great view of the city....even thinking about the day ahead brings tears to my eyes, but i know it will come. its funny, you feel as if time should stand still. but it doesnt. the world keeps turning. the planet does its thing and then suddenly a whole year has gone by. the pain is as raw as ever. i miss you pete. so much. sarah, bob, my thoughts are always with you, but more so for the days ahead. i hope you feel the strength of your wonderful sons, shining through. their life force will never go away. always in my thoughts darling pete. caroline (aussie sis) xxxxxxxxxxx |

And so the world does indeed spin on... Pete, I find it so difficult to believe that this is so. It's really strange to think we're all going on through life without you - a whole year already. Many things have changed for all of us and I'm sure you'd be excited to hear about everything. I'm about to embark on a bit of an adventure and so more than ever you're in my thoughts ('Mr. Adventure' himself!!). When I'm faced with something new and scary over the next few weeks, I'm going to keep in mind the question 'what would Pete do?' - and of course, you'd just go for it - and so I will too. Life's for living, right? There's one thing that hasn't changed - you are still in our thoughts day to day. We all miss you... I've packed your picture to take away with me - the grainy black and white one from when we were 16 (such a long time ago now). You look so very young - but also so very happy and it always makes me smile. Much love Pete, my inspiration and my strength in the coming days xxx |

So. 4 years! it is quite unbelievable that 4 years have come and gone without you. I was thinking the other day, what would you make of the world today. Facebook, Twitter, Wii, Iphone.... all this technology that I reckon you would have loved! Recession, GFC, Earthquakes, Wars, so much has happened. But you are always there somewhere, smiling down on us all. You will never really leave us, and you will never be forgotten. Think of you every day, darling. All my love as always xxxxxxxxx |
